DLH!!!!!
That’s how we do it! 10 years strong for the DLH fun day. Organised by Dillon. Punx, Jitterz, Plastererz, Skaterz. Awesome! This year saw the return of Crazy Phil, who built a 10 foot tall ring of fire to celebrate. Predictably the ring only stood up for a few attempts at tricks through it, before becoming a pile of smouldering wreckage in front of the wedge. Then it became a bonfire.

We went over to check out the new concrete park at Glastonbury on Sunday. It was the day before the official opening so we got a good skate in without having to battle with the crowds! I spent most of the day skating, but pulled out the camera for half an hour before we left and caught these seqs:

Nice b/s nollie180, sw manny, sw f/s 180 out on one of the perfect blocks at the new Glastonbury skatepark

This is a bit of an experiment really. It was my first time out with my new 1d mark 1. My first time shooting a sequence, and specifically my first time shooting a sequence with flashes – in at the deep end!
My lighting set-up was pretty ugly – there’s at least one visible flash in every shot! It was a pretty hard feature to light; I had my flashes on really low power to get the recycling times I needed to light up every frame, so I ended up with them really close in and one pointing at the camera. Poor form.
Anyway, for what it’s worth, here it is!
Yet another installment of the incredibly civilised Hell Tour. Usual crew, plus a few heads from the Sidewalk forum apparently. Ramp city is amazing, the Simparch bowl got a pretty heavy sessioning and as Wes said, it was great to see Pigdog and Bob in their natural habitat!
Anyway enjoy the photo’s after the jump.

Ideal miniramp overview
Wes has finally passed his driving test and to celebrate he took us on a trip up to Birmingham to skate the Ideal Miniramp. It was kind of half skate-mission, half motorway driving lesson. As another little bonus it was the first skate trip for my new camera. Woop woop!

On Sunday we went for a good old-fashioned road-trip to find some full-pipes. We had a tip-off of a skate-able pipe near Bridgend in Wales, so loaded up a couple of the Benzes and headed out west. What we found was a yard full of old silos in the middle of nowhere. Very promising!
We found the right pipe, shifted about a ton’s worth of wooden crates out of it, then set about skating the bugger. We got about 15 minutes until we were told to get out or face the wrath of the Bridgend Police. Just about managed to grab a couple of photos before we legged it.

Lovely day today. Went out with Jasper to get some pictures for his interview on Crossfire. Unfortunately, our boy bruised his heel at the Hotwells big three before we’d shot a single trick. Carter came out and I was hoping to get some shots of him, but he was still pretty tired from the night before – “It’s like 12 O’Clock in the morning, man!”.
We ended up heading over to Yatton to check out the new park there. It’s nice. There’s a really good manny-pad / block, and a pretty well layed-out standard UK street course.
We cruised it for a bit, then I shot this photo of a kid called Sam from Portishead. Gutted his hand popped out of the top of the frame – it didn’t quite come together after this one. There’s a park overview after the jump.

The Thursday Night Skate Crew hit up the new block on Thursday night, with the intention of making some tricks and shooting some flicks. Job done!
